RBS-phi
This part is a sequence containing the phi gene, which encodes 6-phospho-3-hexuloisomerase (PHI), an enzyme that catalyzes the reversible isomerization reaction between d-arabino-3-hexulose 6-phosphate (Hu6P) and fructose 6-phosphate (F6P). PHI is one of the key enzymes of formaldehyde fixation in the ribulose monophosphate (RuMP) pathway, a metabolic pathway that is widespread in prokaryotes. PHI can be expressed in different organisms, enabling them to utilize and detoxify formaldehyde. This part can be used to construct formaldehyde metabolism and utilization systems, or to synthesize hexose phosphate compounds.
